Alkalize
Following
an alkalizing diet, in addition to taking
alkalizing supplementation, is probably the single most important heath
regime
that a person can undertake.

Most
diseases are a result of allowing the
body to become too acidic. For example, it has been proven that cancer
cannot
exist in an alkaline environment. Heart disease will mostly only occur
when the
body has been subject to acidic conditions for long periods of time.
The blood
needs to maintain a balance of between 7.35 – 7.45, otherwise
the person will
die. If the blood starts to become too acidic, the natural body
response is to
take alkaline minerals from other parts to correct the pH balance. One
of these
minerals is calcium from the bones and teeth. The result is blocked
arteries,
tooth decay, osteoporosis and arthritis. Another alkaline mineral to be
taken
seriously is magnesium. This is required for over 300 enzyme reactions
in the
body. The majority of Americans are deficient in magnesium, and
possibly
explains why the general health status has deteriorated. Magnesium is
so
important that it deserves its own page.
The
best alkaline foods are raw vegetables,
live sprouts, and nuts. Dr Robert Young (“The PH Miracle)
suggests that 80% of
your meal should be alkaline foods, with the balance being acid foods.
However,
for his alkalizing program, Dr Young suggests that the first nine weeks
of
changing over, the meals should be 100% alkaline. He has achieved
miraculous
results with this method including with cancer, diabetes, gout and many
others.
